WorkHealth Checks promote the health and wellbeing of workers through a free, confidential, and convenient health check at their place of work.

MCHS is an Endorsed Service Provider of WorkHealth Checks, a program offered by WorkHealth to employers which enables employees learn more about the state of their health.

WorkHealth Checks assess workers for their risk of type-2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease by looking at factors which impact on personal health and wellbeing (such as diet, exercise, smoking and alcohol consumption). In addition, simple physical and biomedical measurements are taken. Participation is voluntary, free and all information is strictly confidential.

WorkHealth Checks take place in the workplace, and normally take 15-20 minutes to perform. During this time, workers will:

  • complete a short questionnaire
  • have their waist circumference, blood cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar measured
  • be given information and advice based on their health check results

Eligible employers can apply to WorkHealth for WorkHealth Checks to take place in their workplace.
