Childhood and adolescence are times of rapid physical, developmental and emotional change, MCHS provides services to address and manage health and wellbeing during this time.
Early childhood is both a rewarding and challenging time for parents and children. When developmental problems occur these challenges can be overwhelming. MCHS offers a range of services that can assist in identifying and addressing some of the causes of developmental delay, for example hearing, speech & language, and coordination difficulties. MCHS can also assist families with transitional support to other children’s services and schools. Adolescence is a time of transition from childhood to adulthood that many young people find difficult. MCHS provides services, many in school settings, designed to assist young people when issues of family dysfunction, poor self esteem, substance abuse, sexual health and sexuality arise.
