Respite Bed Vacancy Register

The Respite Bed Vacancy Register is an up-to-date listing of vacant respite beds in the Northern Metropolitan Region. The Vacancy Register includes nursing homes and hostels. Information on vacancies in Special Residential Services and some disability respite services is also available. The Vacancy Register is available by calling the Commonwealth Carer Respite Centre / CarerLinks North or online.

We may be able to assist carers by:

• Providing up-to-date information on respite bed vacancies to assist the carer to choose the appropriate facility that meets their needs
• Assisting carers to organise the booking
• Providing carers with information on what to expect at the nursing home or hostel

The Respite Bed Vacancy Register is available to general practitioners, service providers, carers and members of the general community who are seeking information on respite bed vacancies.
