Food security in Moreland: A needs assessment

Mulberry Gardens has now been growing for over a year. Community members have worked hard to develop the space and establish a food garden that invites people to come together to grow, share and enjoy a variety of fresh herbs, fruit and vegetables.  Mulberry Gardens promotes access to fresh organic food, sustainable gardening practices and fosters an appreciation for nature.  The garden members have become incorporated in March 2011.  Communal gardening sessions run most Saturdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm.  Membership to Mulberry Garden gives unlimited garden access and everyone is welcome to come and socialize, share skills, learn and harvest free organic food.
