Intake Service

Intake is the first point of contact for carers and service providers with the Commonwealth Carer Respite Centre / CarerLinks North. Intake provides timely and responsive support and advice to carers and service providers on carer issues and arranges emergency respite services for carers.

Intake can provide information, advice and emotional support as well as assistance with accessing emergency respite. The Intake Worker may arrange short term in-home support services where necessary if that service is not available elsewhere in the community. The Intake Worker may also arrange referral to a Carer Support Worker or the Residential Respite Booking Service as appropriate.

An Intake Worker is available during regular office hours (between 9am to 5pm) on 9495 2500. For access to short term in-home support in emergency situations occurring outside these hours, please call 1800 059 059.
