Two Fresh produce swaps have been established as part of MFAP:

  • The Coburg Kitchen Garden Swap was set up in partnership with Kildonan UnitingCare in late 2009. Taking place on the first Saturday of every month between 10am and 12pm at Kildonan UnitingCare, corner of Bell St & Sydney Rd Coburg (entry from Urquhart St).
  • The swaps are open to anybody who grows their own fresh produce. The purpose is for community members to get together and swap their own produce for something they do not grow. No money changes hands, making it a very cost-effective way for people to obtain fresh and very affordable fruit and vegetables.  Fruit, vegetables, eggs, preserves, breads, seeds, seedlings, recipes and worm juice are swapped all year round.
