A group-based activity program to facilitate psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery for adults with a mental illness who live in the city of Moreland.

This program provides opportunities for people to participate in group activities in a safe and supportive environment.  Participants build on strengths and develop living, social, leisure and creative skills through group programs.
Participants are supported to achieve their immediate and long-term goals through individual program plans. These may involve linking people into other community services and facilities and/or engaging in activities offered in the program including:

  • Art 
  • Ceramics 
  • Drop-In 
  • Heart Throb Program - gym / relaxation / walking group 
  • Singing group 
  • Cooking groups 
  • Social groups 
  • Outings 
  • Women's / Men's Groups 

 

The aim of the program is to assist participants to move through the recovery process and fulfil their own potential in the wider community.'
The Exchange Day Program is part of the non-clinical specialist mental health services funding by the Department of Human Services.  For further information click here.
 
Referrals
Participants can get involved by contacting the Intake Worker for either program. We accept referrals from health professionals or self-referrals.
 
Eligibility
The Exchange Day Program provide services for people who:

  • have a diagnosed mental illness. 
  • live in the City of Moreland are aged between 18 and 65,
  • have the ongoing support of a clinical health professional, 
  • are willing to participate in the programs
