A range of recreational, social and skill based groups to assist adults with a mental illness who live in the Cities of Moreland and Hume.

CRISP – Support for Day to Day Living (D2DL) in the Community - Structured Activity Program, is a MCHS program funded under the Department of Health and Ageing as part of the Australian Government’s commitment over 5 years to improve the quality of life of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. 

CRISP currently offers structured and socially based activity programs including:

  • Young Adult Program (16-30 years) – art, social lunch & active recreation
  • Computer courses
  • Instrumental music group
  • Personal fitness, health & well being group
  • Managing difficult emotions course for women
  • GEL (Girls Experience Life) – mothers support group

 

Where possible the groups are offered in community locations and/or in partnership with other community service organisations to create greater links for individuals to the community in which they live. 

 

Referrals

Participants can get involved by contacting the Intake Worker.  Referrals are accepted from health professionals or self-referrals.

 

Eligibility

Individuals who:

  • have a diagnosed mental illness or mental health issue (including depression and anxiety),
  • live in the Cities of Moreland or Hume,
  • are willing to participate in the program.
