MCHS operates over 25 different Activity Programs per week. Some activities are based at our centres while others are based in the community.

Moreland Road Gardens, Brunswick

Gardening programs run Mondays through to Thursdays and are based at the MCHS Moreland Road site. They are ideal for people who enjoy gardening and the outdoors. Activities include planting, pruning and growing fruit and vegetables. There are also crafts, painting, and discussions on horticulture and current affairs.

Glenroy Groups

Music, bocci, bingo and barbeques are some of the activities run at our Glenroy site. Interesting conversation and fun adventures are always part of these groups. On Wednesdays and Fridays groups are specifically designed to suit Italian speaking participants. We also hold special carers events throughout the year.

Brunswick Groups

The Brunswick groups meet at a newly renovated venue on Moreland Road. The venue and staff can cater for people with a range of high and complex care needs. Activities include exercise classes, choir, board games, outings and guest speakers. There is also a specific Memory Group for people experiencing memory loss, cognitive decline or dementia. And on Fridays there is a Ladies group.

Community Access Groups

These groups visit places of interest such as museums, libraries, the parks and restaurants. They also enjoy some day trips to the beach or the country.
